RICS Holds Annual AGM Conference in Lagos
The RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Nigeria Group held its annual AGM conference at Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on November 30, 2023.
This year’s edition, themed, ‘Developing a Sustainable Built Environment: Building Resilience for Growth,’ aligned with RICS’s observer status at COP28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Expo City, Dubai, UAE.
Delivering the keynote address was Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi, Chairman of RICS Nigeria Group, represented by Dr. Muhammad Kabir, Chief Compliance Officer at TAJ Bank. Kabir also participated in the panel discussion on Sustainable Financing for the Nigerian Built Environment, alongside Olasunkanmi Abioye, Head of Project Finance at Sterling Bank, and Tayo Ajayi, Portfolio Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority.
Temilola Senola from the Green Building Market Transformation Program at IFC gave a presentation on Sustainable Real Estate Development in Nigeria. The conference featured insights from Segun Wiliams, MD of Constant Gold Ventures Limited, and David Aderounmu, co-founder of Tempo Housing.
The annual AGM for RICS Nigeria conference provided a comprehensive platform for professionals to engage with critical topics shaping the running of the group over the last year and plans for the new year.
