National Institute of Construction Technology and Management Seeks Contractors for Security Infrastructure Project
The National Institute of Construction Technology and Management (NICTM) in Uromi, Edo State, is excited to announce a tender opportunity for contractors specializing in construction and infrastructure development.
This initiative is part of the 2024 TETFund Special Intervention Project to improve security infrastructure through the construction of a 1068-meter perimeter fence at the institute’s permanent site. As security becomes an increasingly critical concern for educational institutions, NICTM is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of its students, staff, and facilities.
Scope of Work
The project entails the construction of a 1068-meter perimeter fence around the NICTM campus. The selected contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the fence meets all required specifications and standards, thereby contributing to the overall safety and integrity of the institution.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in this tender opportunity, interested contractors must meet specific eligibility criteria. The requirements include:
- Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- A valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years.
- A Pension Clearance Certificate (if applicable).
- Compliance certificates from relevant bodies such as the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
- Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors.
- A sworn affidavit confirming no conflicts of interest with NICTM officials.
- Audited accounts for the last three years.
- References from reputable banks indicating credit facility availability.
How to Apply
Interested firms can collect the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) from the office of the Director of Procurement at NICTM upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N10,000.00 per lot. This document will provide detailed information about the bidding process and project specifications.
Submission Guidelines
Contractors must submit their bids by 12:00 noon on November 11, 2024. Each bid should include two hard copies each of technical and financial proposals, with a soft copy of the financial bid in MS Excel format.
All submissions must be packaged in sealed envelopes clearly marked as “Technical Bid” or “Financial Bid.”

Bid Opening
The technical bids will be opened immediately after the submission deadline on November 11, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the School of Engineering Conference Hall at NICTM. Bidders or their representatives are encouraged to attend this session.
