This webinar was a data driven analysis on the real estate market in the country as depicted by Northcourt’s report of the same title.
Three experts joined by our Publisher/CEO, Dipo Davies spoke extensively on trends impacting on supply and demand in the market. Mr. Ayo Ibaru, CEO of Northcourt presented the report. Ayo Ibaru leads the team at Northcourt, a privately held real estate services firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a real estate investments adviser and consultant to leading corporates.
He also serves as an expert source for members of the media and has been featured on CNBC, Africa, Arise TV, The Guardian, ThisDay and BusinessDay Newspapers in addition to being a technical contributor to projects and publications by the IMF, Colliers International, Financial Derivatives Company, Oxford Business Group and Total Multipurpose Cooperative Society. Since 2016, Ayo has co-authored widely read periodic research reports on West Africa real estate markets which have won Euromoney awards.
He is the host of Real Estate and Investment Markets Brief, a weekly podcasts that discuss the West Africa real estate market. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Society of Property Researchers (SPR), the African Real Estate Society (AFRES) and the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV).

Mr. Akin Opatola, is an Estate Surveyor & Valuer and the director of Origination and Brokerage at Olawale Jordan Company. Mandates include client representation, consulting and advisory services, and CRE Strategy. He is an alumnus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. He has over 11 years of experience in the Nigerian financial services industry with Polaris Bank and Access Bank Plc, where he rose to become the business manager of Kirikiri Apapa Branch.
His previous role was as the COO of Brokerfield Real Estate Services Limited where he specialized in Property brokerage, Property management & Asset Valuation. Akin has a great passion for real estate and was elected in 2024 as Nigerian Chapter President, International Real Estate Federation, (Fiabci)
