The Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, Delta State, is set to transform its educational facilities through the 2024 TETFund Special Intervention Projects.

This initiative will not only improve the college’s infrastructure but also opens doors for contractors and suppliers in the real estate sector to participate in these transformative projects. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their pre-qualification documents by 12:00 PM on October 28, 2024, to seize this unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of education in Nigeria.

What’s on Offer?

The college is seeking bids for various projects that involve the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and furniture across multiple departments.

Below is a breakdown of the key projects available:

  • Lot SP 1: Equipment and furniture for various departments.
  • Lot SP 2: Equipment and furniture for the School of Business Typing Pool/Model Room.
  • Lot SP 3: Equipment for the Metal Technology Workshop, ICT Centre, and Electrical Workshop Building.
  • Lot SP 4: Laboratory, classroom, and office equipment/furniture for Adult Education/Home Economics Education Building.

Each lot has specific requirements regarding the minimum average annual turnover to ensure that only qualified bidders participate.

Eligibility Requirements

Prospective bidders must meet several eligibility criteria, to be considered for these projects. Key requirements include:

  • Certificate of Incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • Income Tax Clearance Certificate valid until December 31, 2024.
  • Pension Clearance Certificate (for companies with 15 or more staff).
  • Evidence of compliance with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
  • A sworn affidavit disclosing any potential conflicts of interest.

Bidders must also provide evidence of previous similar projects completed in the last five years, along with a company profile and CVs of key staff.

Submission Details

Interested contractors should prepare their pre-qualification documents carefully. All submissions must be made in two hard copies, packaged in sealed envelopes clearly marked as “Technical Bid.”

The deadline for submission is 12:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024. It’s important to drop your documents in the designated tender box at the Registrar’s Office at the college’s Administrative Building.

Opening of Pre-Qualification Documents

The pre-qualification documents will be opened immediately after the submission deadline at 12:00 PM on October 28, 2024, in the Council Chamber of the Administrative Building. This opening will take place in the presence of bidders or their representatives. It’s crucial to sign the Bid Submission Register to ensure your bid is officially recognized.
