(1) In line with the vision and promise of his Excellency, Hon. Umaru Mohammed Bago. The executive Governor of Niger State on Urban renewal and modernization, quality healthcare access, and making Niger State a sought-after destination for tertiary education particularly in the Medical and healthcare sector and also the realization of the effective medical college in the IBB University. The new administration has approved the conversion of the old Shiroro Hotel, Minna into a state-of-the-art Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU) Teaching Hospital, This project is a crucial part of the healthcare delivery policy of the administration and crucial in securing final approval to effectively setup the medical college in the University,
(2) The Project will significantly improve the healthcare delivery system in Niger State. It will provide access to quality medical education and healthcare services to the people, especially those in rural areas who currently have limited access: to medical facilities. The hospital will also create job opportunities for healthcare professionals, support staff, and contractors in the state.
(3) The conversion will involve the renovation and refurbishment of the existing hotel building to create a modern and fully equipped teaching hospital that will provide high-quality medical education, research, and healthcare services to the people of Niger State and its environs. The hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, facilities, and infrastructure that meet international standards.
(4) Accordingly, as part of the government’s commitment, the Niger State Ministry of Health, in line with the requirement of the Niger State Public Procurement Board is inviting interested contractors to submit prequalification documents for the execution of the following lots as part of the conversion of the Shiroro Hotel to the IBBU Teaching Hospital.

This will cover the supply, installation, and commissioning of all the essential medical equipment and other related installations required for the hospital’s operations. |

(5) Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from Niger State Ministry of Health and inspect the pre-qualification documents during office hours 9:00am to 5:00pm hours at the address given below.
(6) Applicants must satisfy major requirements in addition to those, contained in the standard bidding documents as below.
– Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
– Registration with Niger State Public Procurement Board
– Evidence of VAT registration
– Last 3 years Tax Clearance Certificate
– Evidence of current PENCOM Certificate, ITF, NSITF Compliance Certificate, Audited Accounts for the last 3years.
(7) A complete set of pre-qualification document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible contractors upon submission of written application to the address below and payment of non-refundable fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000,00) only in favor of Niger State Ministry of Health.
(8) Note, evidence of payment must be provided and confirmed before issuance of pre-qualification documents.
(9) Application in a well-sealed package in an articulated format for ease of reference in three (3) copies with soft copy in flash drive must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00noon, Monday, 3 July, 2023.
