Lagos Governor Receives N1bn Boost for Security Trust Fund
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, asserted the government’s unwavering commitment to security, ensuring the safety of residents, visitors, and businesses. The announcement came during the formal presentation of a generous N1 billion donation to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) by prominent businessman Femi Otedola at the Lagos House in Marina.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized his administration’s dedication to fostering economic benefits in communities while enhancing the environment for opportunities that encourage robust societal engagement. He underscored ongoing efforts to create a peaceful living and working atmosphere for the people of Lagos.
Expressing gratitude for the substantial contribution, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged other well-meaning residents and corporate entities to follow Otedola’s example and contribute generously to the security trust fund. The governor sees such collaborations as instrumental in bolstering the state’s security apparatus.
Earlier, Femi Otedola’s representative, Tolani, highlighted the significance of the security trust fund as a public-private partnership initiative. Otedola has been actively supporting the trust fund since its inception, consistently contributing to enhance the state’s security architecture. The substantial donation reaffirms Otedola’s commitment to the well-being and safety of Lagos residents.
As Lagos continues to grapple with evolving security challenges, the injection of funds into the LSSTF marks a crucial step in fortifying the state’s security infrastructure. The government’s call for widespread support reflects the recognition that collective efforts are essential to sustaining a secure and thriving Lagos.
